Our Fly Cruise Plan

Getting to and from your Holland America cruise may be made simpler by requesting that your travel agent book our Fly Cruise Plan for you. Just choose your most convenient departure airport from our extensive gateway list, and we will do the rest. Fly Cruise air add-on amounts are listed below. Your arrangements will include airline flights from your departure gateway city to the port of embarkation, as well as your return flights after the cruise, except where noted.

Add-ons shown in the list of gateways also apply to third and fourth guests sharing a stateroom with two full-fare passengers. Certain conditions and restrictions apply and are indicated below or in the Home City Air Information letter provided with your cruise contract.

Once ticketed (or anytime with in 60 days of travel) a us $50 fee (or, if greater, the amount of any airline imposed cancellation charge) will be assessed for guests who cancel the Holland America Fly Cruise Plan from their booking.

Book Early

Since the special airfares we have arranged are often below published levels, their availability is limited. Therefore, it is advantageous for you to book your vacation as early as possible. We reserve the right to limit or close sales from cities without notice. Changes to existing reservations initiated by guests will result in a rescheduling charge if the changes are made after the final payment due date.

Special Request / Seat Assignments

We reserve the right to schedule Fly Cruise passengers on the carrier, flight schedule and routing (including specific arrival/departure airport) of our choosing. We cannot confirm seat assignment requests. Your travel agent may assist with these arrangements once you receive your tickets. We are unable to accommodate requests for special meals or other special services not mentioned in this brochure.

Overnight Hotel Accomodations

Due to airline schedules, overnight hotel accommodations may be required at the port of (dis)embarkation or en route. Scheduling of flights will be determined by Holland America.

The hotel accommodations, transfers between airport/hotel and hotel/pier, as well as bellman gratuities, are included in the air add-ons where applicable.

Airplus Service

AirPlus Service is available for Fly Cruise guests who wish to travel to or from their disembarkation port on dates other than those usually booked, who have specific airline/ flight and time requests, or who wish to travel in business or first class. Written requests should be faxed to AirPlus Service at (206) 298-3008 or mailed to: Holland America Line Attn: AirPlus Service 300 Elliott Ave. West Seattle, WA 98119 Requests should be submitted prior to final payment in order to assure proper consideration. All requests are subject to availability and are not guaranteed. If confirmation is possible, guests will be assessed a us $35.00 non-refundable service charge and additional airline costs incurred.

Airlane Schedule hanges

Due to the late changes by airlines in their schedules, we will normally provide your final flight itinerary less than 45 days before departure. Just prior to travel we recommend a phone call to your airline to reconfirm your flights. If airlines change their schedules after tickets are issued, we will adjust your itinerary or air carrier accordingly. In that event, we may ask you to return your tickets to your travel agent.

Refunds

The maximum refund for unused air tickets will not exceed the air add-on paid to us. There are no partial refunds. Due to changing airline tariffs, your tickets may reflect fares higher or lower than our air add-on amounts. The difference is neither chargeable nor refundable.

Cruise Only Passengers

Passengers not participating in our Fly Cruise Plan are responsible for their own transfers between airport and ship (and vice versa). We recommend that you schedule a minimum of four hours both at the beginning and end of your cruise to allow for transfers, customs clearances and airport security checks.

Liability & Relation With Airlines

If due to any cause beyond our control we are unable to arrange for air travel (including, for example, because of capacity controls placed upon us by airlines due to the types of fares under which we book) or the air travel we arrange is unavailable or otherwise fails to materialize, our sole liability will be limited to refunding the air add-on amount paid to us. We assume no liability for any acts or omissions of any airline including, without limitation, those involving cancellation of flights, schedule changes, re-routings, damage to or delay or loss of baggage, flight delays, equipment failures, accidents, pilot or other staff shortages, overbooking or computer errors. The liabilities and obligations of an airline to you, and your rights against an airline, are subject to any and all terms and conditions of the airline's ticket and tariffs and any and all applicable governmental laws and regulations. The air add-on prices represent our assumed air costs, including service fees.

Passenger Facility Charges

Federal law allows individual airports to assess every passenger boarding a plane a user fee. These charges amount up to $3 per airport, up to a maximum of $12 on any one ticket. At the time of booking, we will inform you of any applicable facility charges.

*For 10-day cruisetour, on day prior to sailing from Ensenada and an day after arrival in Ensenada, motorcoach transportation may be utilized between Los Angeles and San Diego for Los Angeles residents only. Also motorcoach between San Diego and Ensenada on days of (dis)embarkation is included.

**On days of (dis)embarkation motorcoach to/from Ensenada is included for 10-day cruisetour only. On days of (dis)embarkation motorcoach transportation may be utilized between San Diego and Los Angeles for 16/19-day cruise only.

All rates are per person and include taxes, transfers between airport/hotel and hotel/pier, as well as bellnian gratuities. Rates are in U.S. dollars and subject to change without notice. Hotels of equal standard may be substituted when necessary. NOTE: In Vancouver and Honolulu, sightseeing is included in transfer between hotel and pier.

Cancellation Protection Plan (CPP) allows you, for any reason, to provide written cancellation up to 24 hours prior to commencement of travel without being subject to cancellation fees. CPP is optional, must be paid at time of deposit and is not refundable. It is an excellent value for the peace of mind it offers. The per-person per-cruise costs for CPP are listed with the cruise fares. In addition. Holland Ainerica automatically assumes an additional $500 of liability for lost, damaged or delayed baggage of passengers who purchase CPP. The baggage policies of Holland America are explained in detail on The General Information Page. CPP is not insurance: it providies no rights other than those explained above. For example, it does not protect double-triple-quad occupancy rates should one or more members of your party cancel, nor does it cover expenses or unused services due to trip iterruption.
