RADISSON SEVEN SEAS CRUISES WAS VOTED THE 1995 NUMBER ONE CRUISE LINE IN THE WORLD BY THE READERS OF CONDET NAST TRAVELER MAGAZINE

THE WORLD'S ONLY TWIN-HULL CRUISE VESSEL

SWATH Design Provides Stability (Small Waterplane Area Twin Hull) design utilizes a narrow hull area in contact with the waves and computer-controlled fins to virtually negate the effects of the sea. The degree of vessel roll is only one-fifth of a monohull cruise vessel.

THE ssc RADISSON DIAMOND OFFERS YOU UNRIVALED CRUISING COMFORT.

No matter which itinerary you choose, the Diamond will traverse the Panama Canal and lead you to Costa Rica, a country of great natural beauty, with its rushing waterfalls, brilliant flowers, abundant bird life and thousands of species of butterflies.

All Air/Sea guests receive a pre-or post-cruise, two night Costa Rica program that includes a complimentary full day tour to Po6s Volcano and Cloud Forest. Travel by deluxe air-conditioned motorcoach through the Central Valley, passing picturesque towns and lush countryside alive with wildflowers and butterflies. As we ascend high into the mountains, we'll see some of country's the largest coffee, sugar cane and strawberry plantations.

Inside the park are four main life zones, ranging from barren area around the active crater to dense cloud forest. A well-maintained trail winds through a lush cloud forest landscape of wildflowers, mosses, bromeliads and ferns. The park is also home to many different types of colorful tree frogs and 79 species of tropical birds! About a half mile from the crater, we'll walk along a trail to Lookout Point for a breathtaking view of the volcano. The main crater measures a mile across and nearly 1,000 feet deep - making it one of the largest craters in the world!

Following the visit to the volcano, you'll be treated to a traditional Costa Rican lunch served in a charming local restaurant with the rain forest as a backdrop.

In 1524, King Charles V of Spain began surveying the land to determine a way to connect the world's two great oceans. The vision of a canal was later shared by American Presidents Thomas Jefferson and Ulysses S. Grant. But it wasn't until 1914 that construction of the canal was completed. Under the direction of Suez Canal builder Ferdinand de Lesseps, 35,000 men labored for ten years to slice through the isthmus of Central America. The Panama Canal dream was at last a reality, forever changing the accessibility of the Western world. The Diamond's eight-hour journey through the 52-mile Panama Canal takes you through lush tropical forests, past one of the world's largest man-made takes. Within the bounds of the canal are Summit Botanical Gardens and Zoo, the Sendero El Charco nature traits and Soberania National Park, all part of the rich flora and fauna of Panama.

PORTS OF CALL

Aruba, Netherland Antilles

Aruba is an arid island of diorite boulders, cactus deserts and divi-divi trees that bend in the direction of the nearly constant trade winds. The people here are among the friendliest in the Caribbean, and most speak perfect English, Dutch and Spanish. In the capital of Oranjestad view historical monuments and museums, and take advantage of some of the best duty-free buys in the Caribbean.

Cartagena, Columbia

In the historic district of this 17th century city, thick-walled Iberian-style homes line the crooked, narrow streets designed to confuse the pirates who once raided the city. At the well-preserved monastery of La Popa, a splendid view of the city awaits. Those who enjoy the great outdoors can sail or swim in the clear blue water. jewelry lovers will delight in Cartagena's exquisite emeralds and semi-precious stones.

Cayman Brac, Cayman Islands

This is perhaps one of the most peaceful islands in all of the Caribbean. The eastern end of this small island is marked by a 140-foot bluff, thus the name "Brac.".Your time here should be spent soaking up the sun and snorkeling or diving in the spectacular coral reefs that surround the island.

Charleston, South Carolina

It was off the coast of Charleston at Fort Sumter that the first shots of the Civil War were fired. And today, dozens of monuments dating from the pre- to post-war era remain. Most impressive of all is the charming 18th and 19th century architecture in the historic district. In the surrounding areas remarkably preserved plantations reveal the everyday lives of the area's wealthiest families and the slaves who worked the fields during pre-war times.

Corn Islands, Nicaragua

Known as the Islas del Maiz, Nicaragua's two tiny islands lie near the Caribbean coast. The inhabitants are mostly of British West Indian descent, making their living from manufacturing coconut products and fishing for lobster. The larger of the two islands is surrounded with white-sand beaches and the azure waters contain coral reefs teeming with tropical fish. Hikers will enjoy a leisurely walk up the island's forested mountain trails to obtain incredible views of the land and sea below.

Cozumel, Mexico

Situated off the east coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, Cozumel is a wonderland of wildlife, both in the sea and on land. The coral reefs and underwater caves have been explored by divers from the world over. In addition to relaxing on the beaches and exploring the capital of San Miguel, visitors come to view the area's ancient Mayan ruins. The largest Mayan site is San Gervasio, occupied continuously from 300 to 1500 A.D. As the island's ancient capital, it was dedicated to the fertility goddess Ix-Chel.

Curacao, Netherlands Antilles

The largest of the Netherlands Antilles, visitors to selfgoverned Curacao are fascinated by the many languages spoken here. Nearby are several excellent museums and the oldest remaining Jewish Synagogue in the Western hemisphere. The Curacao Liquor Distillery produces an exclusive orange liqueur for which the island is famous.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Those who haven't visited Ft. Lauderdale in a while will be pleasantly surprised by the changes that have taken place over the past several years. Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands

The largest of the Cayman Islands is best known for Seven Mile Beach, with its soft, golden sand and calm azure waters, where every water sport imaginable can be enjoyed. In the capital of Georgetown are several museums and shops. Elsewhere on the island is a turtle farm and a small 17th century fort.

Port Canaveral, Florida

This renowned Florida destination is marked by 24 miles of natural shoreline and a 57,000acre park. Cape Canaverat is the home of the Kennedy Space Center, where visitors can view the launching and landing sites of the Space Shuttle. Time can also be spent enjoying Cocoa Beach, lined with quaint shops housed in Victorian-era buildings.

Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica

This port is gateway to the lush, mountainous countryside of Costa Rica, a land rich in natural beauty and cultural traditions. Largely protected by National Parks, the tropical rainforests, fertile volcanic mountains and remote beaches remain untouched by man. Inland is the cosmopolitan capital of San José, a city that is packed with museums, parks and gardens and people so friendly, you'll simply hate to leave.

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

In 1502, Christopher Columbus landed near Puerto Limon during his fourth voyage across the Atlantic, as exhibited in the city's museum. Columbus and his crew spent 18 days repairing their vessels and listening to the Indians tell of great gold mines in Costa Rica's south. Today Puerto Limon is a lively port with a significant population and a variety of attractions. Be sure to visit Vargas Park, with its lovely gardens and view of the rocky coast. Also wander around the bustling Market, and take advantage of this city's wide range of international restaurants.

San Blas Islands, Panama

A visit to Panama's scenic San Blas archipelago is a journey back to earlier times. These islands are inhabited by the primitive Cuna Indians, and the women of the tribe, adorned with necklaces and arm bracelets, are known for their skill in creating intricately-made stitchery.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

In 1539 El Morro Castle was built in San Juan 140 feet high to protect the harbor from pirates. The well-restored fortress dominates the old section of this capital, with its distinctive Spanish flavor. Visitors enjoy strolling through the city's open air market and exploring its excellent museums. Be sure to sample a local favorite dish, arroz con pouo, or spiced chicken and rice. And if you adore a bustling nightlife, try your luck at a modem casino.

St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands

One of the three main U.S. Virgin Islands, the jagged mountains, rolling hills and sun-drerfched coastline of St. Thomas are picture postcard perfect. Costa Rica is no larger than West Virgina, yet has a population of butterflies that outnumbers Africa's, 12,000 varities of plants and orchids, 850 species of birds and a mild year round climate despite its location just ten degrees north of the equator. Within its steamy rain forest canopies, perhaps one half of all animal species on planet earth live.

"The creation of a water passage across Panama was one of the supreme human achievements of all time, the culmination of a heroic dream of four hundred years... The fifty miles between the oceans were among the hardest ever won by human effort and ingenuity, and no statistics on tonnage or tolls can begin to convey the grandeur of what was accomplished. Primarily the canal is an expression of that old and noble desire to bridge the divide, to bring people togeather. It is a work of civilization."

Artifacts remain from the ice age's Ciboney Indians, the Arawaks and the Caribs who followed them. On the San Blas Islands near Panama, a primitive culture has resisted change over the centuries as women of the Cuna Indians continue to produce intricately stitched works that reflect generations of refinement.
